Putin: Decision to keep Gazprom as united entity correct

MOSCOW, Feb 17 (PRIME) -- The decision to keep Gazprom as a united strategic entity was correct, President Vladimir Putin said at a 30th anniversary of the company on Friday.

"The decision to keep it as a united, all-encompassing entity has proven to be strategically correct,” Putin said.

“Gazprom developed helping and supporting many other industries, entire regions, the social sphere of the regions, became one of the locomotives of economic recovery and growth."
